AL manager Joe Maddon of Tampa Bay picked Kansas City’s Trey Hillman and...
– Pretty cool Maddon went with some lesser known but talented guys.
Charlie Manuel went with LaRussa and Torre (can you find bigger names in the NL?)

Years later, Hanley deal still looms large →
I’m a Hanley guy. I’m torn right in half on this.
Buchholz. Clay Buchholz.
Ouch. Point taken.
randomsox:
It’s Buchholz. B-U-C-H-H-O-L-Z. With the tidal wave of Clay in the news today, I’m shocked how many bloggers don’t take the time to spell his name right.
7 day outlook
Monday: OFF Tuesday: FLA Wednesday: FLA Thursday: FLA Friday: ATL Saturday: ATL Sunday: ATL
Marlins: Leave Hanley Ramirez when you take off, and take Clay Buchholz and Dan Bard
I feel like I’m more equipped with everything that I have right now as far...
– Clay Buchholz
It sounds easy, it sounds dumb, but really, just trying to execute pitches
– Jon Lester, on his incredible ability to pump out quality starts, concurrently impregnate all women in section 212 with his fastball.
I have a softball double header tonight (a game so nice, we play it twice), so nothing from me until tonight. I fully expect a W though. In all situations.
Some storylines for the Yankees series
Things for you to follow!
Lugo still sucks, Sox looking for replacement in Cabrera or Wilson?
Wang is back to sucking, has to throw against Wake
Papi doesn’t want to stop sucking, hugging the Mendoza line tighter than I’d hug Miranda Kerr
Ellsbury is hurt, Gold Glove becomes too heavy to carry and injures shoulder
Texeira raining down fire, Sodom and Gomorrha weather forecast...

I’ve been collecting together all the baseball tumblrs I can find, like an old lady scrounges around for creepy Hummel or Precious Moments figurines. Except these tumblrs aren’t at all creepy or dead in the eyes! Pitching matchups vs. the Yankees
Tuesday
Burnett vs. Beckett
Wednesday
Wang vs. Wakefield
Thursday
Sabathia vs. Penny
If I was a betting man, I’d look for the Sox to hang 7+ on Wang, win a close one vs. Burnett, and lose by 2-3 vs. Sabathia.
I’ve been featured in a list of Baseball Tumblrs. I therefore promise to start this up again. I can give excuses to why I stopped (SCHOOL), but summer is here, the peanuts are fresh, the beer is cold, and I love the Sox in the middle of Yankee Country.
Off day today, Yankees @ Fenway tomorrow.

long week for the Sox, currently oh-fer-Oakland
And sitting pretty in last place at 2-6.
What a long, strange trip it will be.
Monster games today
Aaron Harang and Josh Johnson pitched some MONSTER games today. Both went the distance, picking up a combined 18 IP, 2 wins, 16 K’s, 0.50 ERA and a 0.50 WHIP. That helps out a ton.
The best part about my fantasy baseball team is I roll 5 deep: Sabathia, Liriano, Gallardo, Johnson, and Harang. It’s going to be a good year in the pitching categories.
Red Sox 2-3
After losing the game after Nick Adenhart died (which was to be expected and forgotten, it wasn’t about baseball that night), the Sox came back for a win yesterday while I was soaking up what little sun graced our presence at the Rochester Red Wings home opener (it was about 47 degrees at gametime. Cold.).
So the Sox are 2-3 and finishing up in LA before heading to Oakland for 3, then...
Red Sox 1-2
Yes folks, the Rays are still good. It’s going to be a dogfight in the East this year.
BREAKING: Angels rookie Nick Adenhart dead at 22
Nick Adenhart, a rookie pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels, died in a hit-and-run car crash early Thursday morning, just hours after pitching in a game in Anaheim.
Absolutely tragic, and from everything I’m reading, a huge loss for baseball.
